Azure DevOps is a product that provides version control, reporting, requirements management, project management, automated builds, testing and release management capabilities, developed by Microsoft.

With Azure DevOps app, you can:

  • Link Qase test cases to Azure DevOps issues.

  • Link Qase test runs to Azure DevOps issues.

  • Create a new issue in Azure DevOps when you file a defect during a test run in Qase.

  • Sync statuses of a Qase Defect and connect Azure DevOps issue, (i.e., as soon as you mark the defect as “Resolved” in a connected defect, the Azure DevOps will be marked “Completed” - and vice versa).

Installation:

  1. Click "Apps" in your Qase workspace

  2. Click Azure DevOps card, then hit "Install now":

4. After the redirect, hit "Authorize" to finalize the installation:

Usage:

  1. To link an Azure DevOps issue to a Qase test case:

    • Select a case in the repository and switch to Properties in the sidebar:

  • Click "Link Azure DevOps issues":

  • Insert Azure DevOps issue title into the field and hit "Link":

  • Now the Azure DevOps issue is linked:

  • To unlink the Azure DevOps issue, click "x" next to the issue title:

2. To link an Azure DevOps issue to a Qase test run:

  • Select “Start new test run” in the test run section.

You can also link an Azure DevOps issue to an existing run by clicking on the three-dots-menu of the run you wish to link and click “Edit.”

  • Fill in the required and/or your desired fields and Click “Link Azure DevOps Issue”

  • Insert Azure DevOps issue title into the field and hit "Link":

  • Now the Azure DevOps issue is linked:

  • To unlink the Azure DevOps issue from the run, Click on “Edit” for the particular run and click "Unlink Azure DevOps Issue":

3. To create an Azure DevOps issue together with a defect in Qase:

  • In the test run, mark your case as Failed, Blocked, or Invalid and proceed with creating a Defect:

  • In the Defect creation form, click “Choose Integration,” select "Azure DevOps" and click "Add defect":

  • Select the Azure DevOps “Organization,” and any other required field, then hit "Create":

  • In the Qase Defect you will now have a connected Azure DevOps issue link:

  • In Azure DevOps you will now have a connected Qase Defect:
